Well, it finally happened. Katie drew blood on Micah! It was not intentional - just impulsive. She was pushing him in his swing outside and somehow stuck him in the face with a big stick. Not sure how it all came together! She felt very bad about it and prayed for God to heal him! I'm sure it will happen again, and I'm very sure Micah will get his revenge someday!

Well, we had an exciting day. We are filling in the back yard to level it a little and Rick got to drive a dump truck. Micah loved the tractor driving around in our yard and Katie got to play in the mud! The funniest part to me was the asking...
Katie comes inside (she'd been playing on the front porch and watching Rick sling the dirt) and says, "Hey Mom - can I just put my bathing suit on UNDER my clothes?" I knew where this was going to lead, so I played along. OK. 10 minutes later, "Hey Mom - can I take my clothes off and just play in my bathing suit?" 10 minutes later."Hey Mom, there is this cute little puddle. Can I just step into it?" Etc. You get the idea! She likes to break things to me slowly! She cracks me up, how she puts such thought and planning into getting her way!
Anyway, besides that, not much going on! Please pray for Micah - he's still crawling backwards. He may be just a little slow! :) Have a good week!

And on to Micah....
Be advised - he is dangerous with the hammer...and anything else that is hard and can be thrown or swung at you!
But when you are so cute, people forgive you fast.
Why is it that parents get such a kick out of feeding their kids things they know taste funky, just to see the facial expression? I think it's the honesty! We just crave the honesty that comes across a kids face. Maybe it's a little bit of payback too for the sleepless nights. Or perhaps it's somewhat of an experiment! Let's see how contorted his face will get when he tastes this!
Oh well....
By the way, Micah is now 22.5 lbs and 29 inches tall. He ought to qualify for the NBA by his birthday!
Thanks for being interested in my kids!

Kids are so fun...
Here is what Katie has been up to! We found the snow in Tennessee a few weeks ago. (Certainly not here in SC!) The leaf pile is quite large, thanks to the million trees in our back yard which took 4 months to shed all their leaves. The woods pic is from today - we had an Easter egg hunt at a Christmas tree farm.
God makes the best toys, doesn't he!
