Where have we been?

Just in case there is still someone who still reads this blog, we are still around. There is no really good excuse for not having posted - I guess it is a combination of not having anything too exciting to write about and having been sick, then sick, and then sick again. The last month has drug on but I think we are now all well at the same time. It's amazing how little you appreciate being well until you feel rotten.

Not too much new on this front. Rick has started another enterprise. He is doing some free lance videography and production, so he got some cool new toys. He is currently working in the garage trying to finish a new computer desk, on which to set the above mentioned toys. I am just excited that we may now get videos of the kids! Maybe!

Micah is finally starting to talk. His best words are "outside" and "welcome", which he says if you say thank you, and of course "tea", the beverage of choice. The other day, Katie asked (loudly, as usual) for sweet tea at a restaurant and a lady over heard her and said, "How sweet, a little southern lady." I still haven't decided how I feel about that comment. Her accent has gotten pretty thick, thanks mostly to her little buddy K.K. from North Carolina. It just seems weird to me, a Canadian, and Rick, a Floridian, to have such a hick kid! But we love the south, and they were both born here, so what can I say.

Something to keep you eye on - a friend of a friend has a sick little boy. The website is www.ethanpowell.com for their son and it is really heartbreaking in some ways and inspiring in others to see the faith of his parents. Check it out when you have a minute.

Other than that, we are just enjoying the beautiful spring weather here in SC (while Micah chants in the background "outside, outside, outside") and watching the kids grow. I hope you are enjoying your days too!
